Read reviews, view the menu and photos, and make reservations online for Madison's. The clientele tend to be middle-aged to ancient but the last time I was there only about half the men wore jackets and one guy in his fifties wore a golf shirt and shorts. I had actually never heard of this cut of meat, but when researched it is supposed to be a rare cut and the most flavorful. The so called mushroom and Marsala sauce was horrible and didn’t even resemble or taste like Marsala. The salad was not all romaine lettuce but included some other kind of inedible green leaf. There are much better restaurants in town if you are looking for good gourmet food and fine dining. Since we were staying at the Old Edwards Inn, I figured this would be a good place to try. The small vegetable side we ordered was not good at all. Their mind and the servers that were working.

Went here after taking a bike ride to Highlands two days ago. So not to say the food wasn't good, but it wasn't as good as other restaurants of this caliber. We sat outside at the wine bar He was nice enough but appeared to have little training. Forget it.
I had the cap of ribeye. We have dined here before, so we tried it again.They have removed some table in the garden to accommodate social distancing. Madison's is a Southern restaurant in Highlands, NC. Reservations are a must if you want to be certain to have a place to sit inside. I think the main problem is that this chef tries to dream up crazy concoctions, but it doesn’t work out well. It tasted fine but personally I would have rather had a filet. The only we have found in the area. Calamari and smoked trout dip were the best!
