They are both in Early Access and their developers are working at about an equal pace, so I can't really answer which is better. Am glad to hear you enjoyed it, though I would hope to have provided you a better "value proposition" for your money -- so any thoughts (and don't worry, you won't hurt our feelings!) I play both. Nonetheless, my point is simply that we definitely care a great deal about the game. But who knows, maybe they both will end up being as complicated as the other. Playability is kind of a weird one at this point. share. This presents a few algorithmic/performance challenges which we'd prefer to not have to work-around as doing so could end up limiting what you're able to do (which currently is ... anything) -- we'd prefer to tackle it properly & head-on, which is why it's been put off for now. Construction workers Bugged. I haven’t played either one since July but they both scratch the tycoon itch nicely and are both being developed by some great people. You can only serve commercial airlines -- no General Aviation. I feel like this gets asked almost monthly. I recently started getting into simulation and management games lately and I was looking at this two games that seem very similar. there has been a few conversations about this topic just search CEO on the main discussion screen, there is also anthor game airport tycoon game but still not out yet. I love the senece of self awarnace and purpose. This isn’t like a comparison between Planet Coaster and Rollercoaster Tycoon World! The graphics, UI, and lack of music is less polished than Airport CEO. But before we've actually played any of these games, there's not much anyone can say. Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts. It's a stupid thing to put into the game. Let's be honest, their mod system will allow for cosmetic changes - new airplane sprites/logos, and company names. As SimAirport makes money, does it benefit to making quick updates and patches? You start out building a General Aviation airport, which is fun in the early game although I usually convert the stands to commercial aviation as soon as I build a terminal. You can only serve commercial airlines -- no General Aviation. This can't REALLY be a deal-breaker for you... No one has ever played one of those games (except the developers of course), so it's hard to say. I bought sim airport in the end was good but only played like 12 hrs not bought other. So between the two games I very steadily lean more towards S.Airport than CEO. In my opinion, Sim Airport looks like a less complicated version the Airport CEO. I have about 10 hours in SimAirport and close to 70 in AirportCEO. Never played airport ceo. They are both on sale for the Steam Summer sale. Skyhaven, a 3d "Airport Tycoon " game in early development looks promising. If both are on sale for the same percent off I would say buy both if you have the twenty or thirty dollars, if you only have a twenty my money is with S.Airport. I agree with your point, and I wrote it with respect for both games :) I disagree that my post is stupid though, probably the wrong choice of word considering the rest of your answer. The next update will revamp the terminal experience apparently which will be nice. report. News & Updates; Roadmap; Forum; Buy Now; YOUR Airport, YOUR Way! Supposedly they are working on fixing it and I have good faith in them but its been a bit hard to swallow sometimes after you hit day 200 and your airport is a mess. EMS and Fire would be awsome. Do you have what it takes to build and manage an efficient, profitable airport? SimAirport feels like Prison Architect decided it wanted to be an airport instead of a prison, and Airport CEO is it's own thing. Systems-driven gameplay with endless possibilities. < > Showing 1 -3 of 3 comments . There are no contracts to sign with vendors and all employees you hire are the same. Which game is generally better, has more content, depth and replayability? I have both also and with alpha 35 coming up to ACEO you get passport and imigration and tax free shops, vending machines, elevators etc.. SimAirport has more stuff to do and has more impact but lacks any connection to the real world. I like reading through the updated comments. The international flights system definitely seems like a big 1-up on ACEO's side, I do wonder if the execution makes it actually worth it as a gameplay mechanic though. Hey guys, I would like to know how to get 4 star contracts in Airport CEO. Alex_Qc420. Is there any big update before or after launch of Airport CEO that will drastically improve the game? It's a weird thing to explain, both they do the same thing in different ways. We're very much aware of it, it's definitely on our list, and it will be addressed eventually -- most likely after we've released via Early Access. There are differences between the two but it’s hard to recommend one over the other. It's definitely on our list, but right now it's not our top priority due to how much work it'll require on low-level, low-visibility stuff -- and compared to the value it provides to the the actual gameplay experience, versus say aircraft emergencies (and other random events, passenger AI, etc), it's just not yet been a priority to get it addressed. Edit: I see plenty of good points. But who knows, maybe they both will end up being as complicated as the other. so sim airport has the depth I think I may make that my next purchase (both games look gretat), Disclaimer: Creator of SimAirport here. I hope that AirportCEO releases an alpha or at least a trailer very soon, because otherwise it's gonna be hard to compete against SimA and keep up the hype.
